The high-level delegation from Switzerland, including Peter Voser, Chairman of ABB Group, engaged in discussions with the Prime Minister and senior officials from the Indian government on fostering greater business synergies between the two countries.
Peter Voser addressed the roundtable chaired by the Prime Minister and the Swiss President. He acknowledged the various initiatives of the Indian government, such as the National Solar Mission, Make in India, Skill India, 24/7 Power for All and Digital India, which are taking the country to the next level of growth.
He emphasized how ABB’s investments and capabilities are aligned with the government’s priorities, outlining our contribution to projects of national importance, such as the North-East Agra and Raigarh-Pugalur power transmission superhighways. He also elaborated on how the India component in HVDC projects has increased, expanding ABB’s Make in India footprint. Other points of discussion were ABB India’s solar milestone, ABB’s deployment of the world-famous Swiss model of SVET training and expansion of training capacity as part of the Skill India mission, and leveraging global exposure for EV charging in India.
He expressed optimism about the government’s forward-looking initiatives opening up tremendous opportunities for India in future, with the advent of the Energy and Fourth Industrial Revolutions. And underscored ABB’s continued support to partner sustainable growth in India, with our global technologies and comprehensive portfolio of digital solutions for utilities, industry and transportation & infrastructure.
